 tapecap entry for SDLT drives?

Hi,Does anyone have any info about accessing the newer SDLT drives through iraf?I'm running solaris10, and I need tapecap entries for the following:SDLT 220
SDLT 320
DLT S4Thanks for any ideas!Kelly

Kelly,Sorry for the slow reply (I just spoke with Ian here at a meeting). In short, there is no existing tapecap I can recommend, however creating one usually isn't that hard.The idea would be to start with an existing DLT entry that will probably close. The :al field should contain all the host device names (st0, nst0, etc) but the critical field is the :dv device name that actually gets opened (this is required to be a no-rewind device, and the device should be set for variable block sizing). Then try the entry for read write and testing for random positioning. If there are problems with positioning (e.g. can read every-other image, can only read first image), there are other flags you can set to tweak the driver behavior. These are documented in the $iraf/unix/os/zfiomt.c driver code comments but if you have questions let me know.Cheers,
