Hi,
I am trying to install STSDAS 1.1 on a DECstation 5000/200,
running Ultrix 4.0. IRAF 2.9EXPORT is already installed and running on
the machine. When I try to mkpkg -p stsdas, I get the following error messages:

Can't open: /usr1/users/iraf/lib/libmain.o (No such file or directory)
ld: Usage: ld [options] file [...]
Warning, mkpkg line 21: module `fgs' not found or returned error

And so forth. Indeed, there is no such library libmain.o in my whole
IRAF directory tree. Can you help?

Hello.
The iraf$lib/libmain.o should have been included with your
IRAF distribution. If it is not there, I would suggest dropping NOAO a
line at iraf@noao.edu, and ask them about it.
