HeyWhen I installed x11iraf (2.0Beta_macintel) with the install script, an error occurred, that the bin.macintel directory wasn't found...in the install script, there is a part which says:
[quote:9ff6ce4f4b]
case darwin:
case macosx:
case macintel:
if (`$uname_cmd -m` == "i386") then
set arch = "macintel"
else
set arch = "macosx"
endif[/quote:9ff6ce4f4b]shouldn't there be x86_64 instead of i386, when arch is set to macintel...?P.S.: When I change it to x86_64 (I boot into the 64bit kernel), the installation works

X11IRAF is from the pre-64-bit era (and there are no plans to make it a 64-bit binary, just **way** too much to be dealt with) but there have been recent suggestions that the 'beta' tag be removed from the release and it be an 'official' 2.0 release. I agree with that and then certainly the install script should work on 64-bit systems even if it is installing 32-bit binaries.I'm currently traveling at the moment and will make the necessary modifications when I return. Until then, simply unpacking the tarball and moving the binaries to a public dir like /usr/local/bin is all that most people will need. Thanks for reminding me about this.
