When trying to get 2.15ALPHA-3 up and running, I've noticed a problem with fitsutil help files and fpack task is disabled for some reason...[b:e5e5922bc2]Help files[/b:e5e5922bc2]:
In fitsutil-src.tar.gz there are 3 problems:1.) fitsutil.hd sets [i:e5e5922bc2]$doc[/i:e5e5922bc2] and [i:e5e5922bc2]$srcdir[/i:e5e5922bc2] vars at the top of the file wrongly to [i:e5e5922bc2]"fitsutil$pkg/doc/"[/i:e5e5922bc2] and [i:e5e5922bc2]"fitsutil$pkg/"[/i:e5e5922bc2] respectively. This might be left from fixing "FITSUTIL install with 2.15alpha" [ https://iraf.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=90333 ]. The right values should probably be [i:e5e5922bc2]"./doc/"[/i:e5e5922bc2] and [i:e5e5922bc2]"./src/"[/i:e5e5922bc2] as they are in [i:e5e5922bc2]mscred[/i:e5e5922bc2]2.) The *.hlp files are left in src/doc/* and are not moved or put in the first place to doc/ (in doc/ there are only two txt files)3.) Upon fixing 1.) I needed to recreate helpdb.mip, but: [i:e5e5922bc2]mkhelpdb lib/root.hd lib/helpdb.mip[/i:e5e5922bc2] Segfaults. I guess this segfault is the same as the one mentioned in "mkhelpdb segmentation violation" [ https://iraf.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=90487 ][b:e5e5922bc2]fpack[/b:e5e5922bc2]:

The toplevel 'doc' directory is just some development notes, the actual task help pages are in fitsutil$src/doc/[quote:68c835ee4e]
