Hi everybody, my problem is the following:
I make a connection 'ssh -X' from my Macbook (Interl, Tiger 10.4.11), in a x11 window, to a Linux machine. The connection works and I can open windows and programs (ex. gv, xgterm...), but when I try to open DS9, the following error comes out:X Error of failed request: BadAtom (invalid Atom parameter)
Major opcode of failed request: 20 (X_GetProperty)
Atom id in failed request: 0xb5
Serial number of failed request: 11
Current serial number in output stream: 11Any ideas about how to solve?!
Thanks, Andrea

The first thing to try is to use "ssh -Y" when logging into the remote machine, this enables "trusted X11 forwarding" and other bits of magic that usually fix things like this. Otherwise, I'd try the latest version of DS9 on the linux box and if you still have problems I'm afraid you'll need to contact SAO to see if they have ideas, this hasn't been reported before.-Mike
