 Segmentation fault error

Dear All,I get the error of: Segmentation fault as I try to run my code compiled with "ifort" Does anybody know what the problem is?Thanks in advance!

Segfaults can happen because you access outside an array, the wrong number of arguments to a procedure call, zero-valued pointers, call-stack corruption, and on an on. Without seeing your program, or even knowing what language it's written in, I can't comment specifically.-Mike

Hi,i am writing my code in Fortran and when I compile it with Visual Fortran and run it in windows I don't get the error! But now that I compiled it using "ifort" and try to run in Linux I get the error!ithanks,

Is this an IMFORT program or just some Fortran program with nothing to do with IRAF? You can use the 'gdb' debugger under linux to get a stack trace to find out where it is failing, if this is not an IRAF program then there are other forums and boards that can help with general programming problems.-Mike
