hello everybody,I'm a novice linux user and I need to install IRAF on a PC running SLACKWARE 11 or FEDORA CORE 7 32BITS. I really don't know how to install it. Could somebody help me in a step by step installation?
Thanks.

For an overview, see the example at the end of the Installation Guide (https://iraf.net/ftp/iraf/V2.13-BETA/pciraf.ps.gz), details are in the rest of the doc. In either Slackware or FC7 you would use the RHUX binaries, however for Slackware you need to install them in 'bin.linux' directories instead of 'bin.redhat'. To complete the install, *copy* the files from $iraf/unix/bin.redhat to $iraf/unix/bin.linux before running the install script.-Mike

See also the README file.[quote:59cdf8299b]And are the RHUX binaries those ones in DOWNLOADS v2.13? [/quote:59cdf8299b]The Downloads page contains all the latest v2.13 source and binaries, as well as links to the older v2.12 systems on the old iraf.noao.edu page.-Mike
