dear iraf support-team,i'm trying to read in *.imh spectra using the sptin subroutine: call imgkwr(im,'cd1_1',aa(2),ier)

295 format(' Could not find keyword CD1_1,CDELT1')although the crucial keywords (cd_1 and cdelt1) seem to be in the header (at
least "imhead" tells me so) i get the above error-message (Could not find ....)thank you for any suggestion to solve this problem ...with best regards,

SPTIN must be a local routine, but the snippet you've posted
looks okay. What is the imfort error message printed before your "Could not find..." message?As for what might be wrong, be sure there isn't a FITS file
by the same root name in the same directory that may be
confusing the task. Are you speficying the ".imh" extension
explicitly? To be sure that IMFORT can read your header,
try compiling iraf$sys/imfort/tasks/phead.f to print the header.-Mike
