kernel 2.6.10 I found " limit: command not found " on my ubuntu box however, the command " ulimit -s unlimited " solve the problem May be a FAQ for IRAF user on PCLINUX Feedback for you and the IRAF team:
The debian packages from IRAF site and from Justin Pryzby site
