I have MacOS 10.5.8 on a PPC G5. With iraf2.14 I have no problem. With 2.15.1a, my image have wrong pixel values.
Example:
With 2.14: listpixel f.fits[100,100] = 186
With 2.15: listpixel f.fits[100,100] = 14976I install iraf-all.tar.gz.Luc
(I test with few images... same problem.) We have also Mac 10.6 with Intel, no problem with those systems.

Thanks for the report. I'm able to reproduce the problem and it appears to be more than a simple byte-swap issue. Unfortunately, I'm travelling this week but I'll have a closer look when I get a chance.

Hi,
Do you think that you can fix the problem? Or I need to run only with 2.14.

Sorry for the slow reply. I may have been too jetlagged earlier, but I can't reproduce the problem any longer using either a build of the current dev system, or the binaries from the Feb21 iraf-all.tgz binary. I tried several datatypes as well, using[code:1:4e4d1711f4]cl> imcopy dev$pix dpix.fits
cl> listpix dpix.fits[100,100]
1. 83.
[/code:1:4e4d1711f4]For macosx/macintel and linux systems the results are all the same. If you get different results with these commands, could you please do a "dir bin$x_images.e l+" and post the results? The binaries should date from Feb 21, if they are any earlier then try reinstalling the iraf-all.tar.gz file.
