Hi IRAF folks!I had my IRAF, X11, and XGTerm working very well. However, since I upgraded X11 to version 2.6.0, I cannot start up XGTerm from inside XTerm. When I run the command 'xgterm' at the XTerm terminal, it hangs and no XGTerm window appears. Even though, the process is initialized ('xgterm' appears when running 'ps -A') and, here's the weird part, the memory usage goes to 100% for the 'xgterm' process. The only way out I found was to downgrade X11 and keep everything old. Is there any bug on the new X11 (2.6.0)?Any help with this would be very appreciated.Thank you in advance.Best regards,
Mairan TeodoroP.S.: I'm running IRAF on Mac OSX 10.5.

Unfortunately I don't have a machine to reproduce the configuration and you're the first to report a problem. Is there some reason you needed to update X11 in the first place? You didn't say whether you were using the X11IRAF v2.0 binaries or an earlier release, so the first thing to try is to make sure you're using the newer binaries. If it still fails I would try starting xgterm with 'gdb' to get a stack trace to see where it's hanging. Otherwise, you could try building from source against the newer libraries but it's just a guess that would do anything.
