Hi All, I installed the Keck package for low-dispersion reduction http://www2.keck.hawaii.edu/inst/nirspec/wmkonspec/index.htmlhttp://www2.keck.hawaii.edu/inst/nirspec/wmkonspec/README.installI was able to install it but when I run the package, I get the following error: ecl> wmkonspec

ERROR: syntax error, line 14
"task mktracer = "wmkonspec$mktracer.cl""
line 31: wmkonspec$wmkonspec.cl
called as: `wmkonspec ()'what does this error mean and why am I getting it? Thanks in advance.

The wmkonspec.cl file is missing a '#' comment character in front of the line containing '-------....". Edit the script and it should load properly.-Mike

thanks for your suggestion. I followed that but yet I got the same error. I forgot to mention that I am installing this on Intel Mac. I am not sure why it should not work. The same procedure was followed when installing it on Linux.

If it's the same message then the file has the same problem. Package scripts are like any other scripts, be sure that all comments are preceeded by a '#', or just delete the line of dashes.-Mike
