Having trouble drizzling a set of acs images. Using an _idc.fits file from the stsci archive for the geometric distortion coeffients, however drizzle cannot open the file. I've specified every possible fits extension I can think of and even dumped the file into a text document but it still refuses to open it.
Can drizzle handle having the coefficients in .fits format?

Mark,If you're talking about the 'coeffs' parameter then the help page clearly states this is a "text file containing the coefficients". I don't know what's in an _idc.fits file or how you dumped it to a text file, I'm guessing however this is some sort of table. The format for the file should probably be similar to what you see in drizzle$coeffs files and not just a table dump. The help desk at STScI (help@stsci.edu) can probably offer more specific advice.Cheers,
-Mike
