Hi Enrico, The latest IRAF V2.12.2a version is known to work under FC4/RHEL
so the first thing is to be sure you're not using an old version. The
prebuilt binaries may indeed be a problem but you didn't say what package
these were for or exactly what errors you're getting. > - Is there any short-term plan at NOAO to distribute IRAF binaries

Manager's Guide" (i.e. unixsmg.ps.gz in the archive distribution
directory). Before you try this though, let me know if the V2.12.2a
system still doesn't work, whether this is a 64-bit system, and exactly
what error messages you're getting. It is not likely that simply
recompiling the system will fix whatever problem you're having.
