Hi Fabiola,
I assume you've checked that the /iraf/iraf/unix/bin.linux/f2c.e
binary actually still exists? If so, try executing directly outside of
the CL or XC calls and my guess is you'll get some sort of system error
indicating that the V2.11.3 binary no longer runs under Slackware 10.
There are a number other reasons you should upgrade your iraf
as soon as you can, but in the meantime I've put the V2.12.2a HSI binaries
for linux in ftp://iraf.noao.edu/pub/fitz/hsi.linuxI'd suggest you first backup your existing iraf$unix/bin.linux directory
and then try just pulling the f2c.e from that URL over to replace the one
you have. If there are still problems with compilation (e.g. missing
symbols) then you should try copying all of the files from the URL
directory to completely replace the contents of your iraf$unix/bin.linux
directory.
If that doesn't work let me know of any error messages, but
there's really not a lot we can do to support that old a system on a
newer linux. Hope this helps.Cheers,
Mike Fitzpatrick
