Hi Aldo,
The Debian package was built by a user and since we don't run
it here we can't answer questions about it directly. However, the
messages you report are common on some 2.6 kernel system and can be
fixed by doing a unix_prompt% limit stacksize unlimitedcommand before logging into the CL. In the most recent IRAF system
this is done automatically by the CL startup script, I believe the
Debian package is based on an older version but putting the above
limit command in your .cshrc should fix things.
