 `joining' cubes

hi, how do i combine two cubes into one `box', ie: imcopy cube1[1:n1,1:n2,1:n3] box[1:n1,1:n2,1:n3]
imcopy cube2[1:n1,1:n2,1:n4] box[1:n1,1:n2,n3+1:n3+n4] obviously the example above would work if i knew how to
create an empty box{1:n1,1:n2,1:n3+n4] (this is not, as far as i can see, the same as `imstack'). thanks,
