Subject: Hi Frank
To: fvaldes@noao.eduSorry to bother you with what I hope is a trivial problem, but I
can't seem to access the different "bands" in a multispec file created
by "dohydra" and "doargus" with either splot or scopy.
The files are somewhat old (about 2-3 years),
and IRAF versions have changed, so maybe there is some incompatibility.
Also, I'm still running 2.10.3beta so maybe that's at fault. Anyway, if
you could have a look at one of the headers, included below, I'd appreciate
finding out if there is an additional keyword that would solve my problem.thanks, Nelson Caldwelldc0107.c3.ms[1205,44,3][real]: dc0107-42 central # 3

Subject: Re: 3D spectrum problemsHi Nelson,You don't say specifically the commands you tried. My guess is you
tried using image sections. I think SPLOT might work to get to the
bands if you used the '%' key. There were some
errors in the earlier versions. What is wrong in your example
is WCSDIM should be 3: cl> hedit <images> wcsdim 3
cl> hedit <images> ltm3_3 1. add+
cl> hedit <images> cd3_3 1. add+
cl> hedit <images> cdelt3 1. add+

This will make the header correct. Try that and then try what you had
problems with. If you still have problems tell me what commands
you are using; i.e.: cl> splot test[*,10,3]
cl> scopy test[*,*,2] band2
etc.

Cheers,
Frank

To: valdes@noao.eduthanks, Frank. The additions to the headers did the trick.nc
