Hello,
We would like to get ahold of the IRAF v210 distribution. I tried
ftp to iraf.noao.edu and getting from directory v210. I was not allowed
to do the get. Is there a set of instructions somewhere? I looked at the
README in the top directory, there wasn`t anything there. Thanks for
your help.

Hi Scooter,
I just checked and the archive seems to be open and available. A
sample session to get the README file would look something like: % ftp iraf.noao.edu ( or 140.252.1.1 )
ftp> log in as anonymous
ftp> use your last name as the password
ftp> cd iraf/v210
ftp> get README # get the V2.10 README file
ftp> cd SOS4
ftp> get README README.sos4 # get the SOS4 README file as README.sos4
ftp> exitThe main 2.10 README file fives an overview of what's in the 2.10 directory
tree, while the README.sos4 file describes specifics about the SunOS 2.10
distribution.
SunOS is the only 2.10 release right now but we are actively working
on other. Remember that when you actually start downloading the files you'll
need to set the binary mode in ftp. Look over the README files carefully
for a full explanation of what to do, and let us know if you still have
problems.Cheers,
Mike Fitzpatrick
