Hello --
The 'mkpattern' task almost looks as if it is exactly what
I needed. However, within a script, I'm now getting syntax
errors on the implied image index (in other words, the script
parser is not permitting me to create a 2-D image array before
I use it: the parser apparently needs to know before it starts
that it will be working with a 2-D image file). So, I'm back
to my original question: how do I tell the script parser that
I'm creating a 2-D array that I can then fill with a series of
1-D images?
