Regarding my call's today to Suzanne and Lindsay, I have re-discovered
and solved my problem with FITS headers. It was my error, but
conversations with you help me track it down. I had one field with an
extra character - and unanticipated minus sign - which wasn't counted
in writing the FITS headers. It wasn't the newlines at all - they are
read and do produce a good data file. Thanks for your help, good
record-keeping, and good memories.Dave Huenemoerder
