I was running backups on IRAF image header and pixel files. The
utility I used ("bru", a proprietary package separate from UNIX)
gave me an "unresolved link" error for each image header file.Could you confirm my understanding of IRAF image headers in UNIX?
As I understand it, each image header (say "image.imh") has a
duplicate copy made which will resist a wildcard deletion ("..image.imh").
There is no formal "link" between thise files. Is this correct?(I had specified each image header in the backup command, but left out
the ".." duplicate headers). Jeff Miller
