Or just that the crosshair itself has many different colors? There was a
bug in SunView some time ago where on the first generation sparcstations
tracks would be left, and the workaround was to patch IMTOOL to OR the
crosshair color with that of the underlying image. This is still the case. If the tracks stay after the mouse has passed, look at the date of the
imtool executable on your system. It is possible you have that old version,
and that it somehow did not get updated when you read in your recent tape. % ls -l `which imtool`
% ls -l $iraf/unix/sun/*.c
Make sure the path to the imtool executable is what you expect from your
recent iraf installation, and that the date of the executable is younger
than the youngest C source file in the sun directory.Steve Rooke (iraf@noao.edu)
