Hi Jeannette, I do not know if you fixed what I think to be a bug
in iraf 2.9 vms. Here is what happens:we have installed vms 5.3 and I had a problem when I try to make any plot.
I traced back what happens and "I think" (I am not a VMS expert) that a
possible bug is in sgiqueue.com. What happens is that IRAF does not
recognize the logical name IRAFTMP when doing the plot. Now, in
sgiqueue.com one of the lines uses the lexical function F$LOGICAL.
In the VMS general user manula it is written that:
"As of VMS version 4.0 the F$LOGICAL lexical function is superseeded
by F$TRNLM"I had no time to see if this is the correct answer, but I thought to
