iraf.net

Hello, I am a novice at iraf so far, but I'm charged with maintaining it here
on the decstation 3100's, and we just installed a new
printer. I modified the graphcap and had someone run a plot, but before we
ever got it on-screen, we got an error message "device file not found", or
maybe it was "entry not found in device file" (my guinea pig went to lunch
and I do not remember his exact commands). The entry for the terminal he
was using (go235) was in termcap. If I run
"cl> show termcap" or "cl> show graphcap" iraf responds with "dev$whichever",
and if I say "cl> show dev" it returns "iraf$dev", and if I say "cl> show iraf"
it says "/users1/iraf" as it should, but if I try to
"cl> edit termcap" it can't find it; is it supposed to?As I said, I'm new to the system, so I'm wondering what I might have done
while installing an entry into graphcap to cause this.yours
