Thanks for the quick reply. I didn't expect to hear from you for awhile.
I really appreciate your taking the time to go through my memo and make
cogent comments.
How complicated is the use of 8mm cassettes with IRAF? Is it save to plan
on those alone as the primary medium? When is it likely to be possible to
read/write individual fits files from iraf, as with 9-track tape? A phone
