for the AT bus on a 386i. John Oliver at U. Florida recently said he had
talked to someone in Detroit who had gotten a Cipher drive working on a
386i. I would be careful; often the software for driving vendor-unsupported
tape drives is buggy or nonexistent. So far most people with 386i's have
them on ethernet; it is possible to install a minimal IRAF kernel server
system on the other Sun, and access the drive remotely without having to
login directly from the 386i: cl> rfits remotenode!mta 1 im1Send mail to iraf@noao.edu after you get IRAF installed, if you want to
