The compilers on the 386i don't support the FLOAT_OPTION switch since there
is only one floating point unit. Make sure it is not defined in your unix
environment: unsetenv FLOAT_OPTIONAlso, check the following code in the file hlib$mkpkg.inc: $else $ifeq (FPU, i386) then
$set XFLAGS = "-c"
$set XVFLAGS = "-c"
$set LFLAGS = ""
$elseMake sure that FPU is not mentioned in any of the FLAGS definitions shown.
