Hello!
I have been trying to use imalign to align my images (obviously), and have run into an error. I get a warning sign: Warning: Reading file, only one value on line. Which results in an error with no shifts calculated. I cannot seem to find what I am doing wrong. Here is the files I've been using and other useful information. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you
input: imlist.rtf
reference: mar10_13_0050.fits
coords: fitcord.rtf
output: imoutput.rtf
shifts: newshifts.rtf
boxsize: 7
bigbox: 11
imlist.rtf:
mar10_13_0050.fits
mar10_13_0047.fits
mar10_13_0048.fits

mar10_13_0051.fits
mar10_13_0052.fits
mar10_13_0053.fits

0.68 -.51
-43.47 43.82
-42.83 44.98
-47.26 42.64

1586.56 0326.17
1709.08 0180.96

Just wondering if my formatting is all correct, maybe I missed something. Thanks again

Quick guess: Try using "@imlist.rtf" to pass in the input image list, params like the coord file are simple file names. You might also double-check that the ".rtf" files don't contain any special chars.

The "only one value per on line" message is coming from the IMCENTROID task when trying to read either the coords or shifts file. Assuming there are blank lines at the end of the file or special chars, I'd have a look at the '-.51' value and perhaps change it to -0.51 in case it didn't read properly.

I see. I made the changes and also tried using simple .txt files instead of .rtf, still no luck.

Does the last line in each file contain a newline? Some editors (e.g. emacs, BBEdit) get into a mode where this is left off that's been known to cause problems.
