I just installed the 64-bit version of V16 on my MacBook Pro. Is there a way to change the prompt so it says "cl" again rather than "vocl"? I realize that this may purely be MY problem, but I've always viewed the "virtual observatory" as being primarily suited to "virtual astronomers"; I like my IRAF for reducing real data.--Curmudgeon Phil

You can startup using the 'ecl' command instead of 'cl' (or change the symlinks or private aliases as needed). The ECL/VOCL are the same except for the VO-specific features of the VOCL needed to run the VO package, but if you don't want the VO stuff you never have to use it. Otherwise the only way to change the prompt is to load a package.

Okay, thank. "ecl" is good enough!
