Hi,
Is there a simple way to use ecl.e instead of cl.e on a 2.12.2-EXPORT?
O.S. is Redhat Enterprise Linux 5.5.
I know that updating IRAF as whole would be better and I try to work our admins towards that, but in the meanwhile, I would be very glad to use backspace and arrow key history.
Thanks!

You can get a statically link ECL binary and the 'cl' command script to use it fromhttps://iraf.net/pub/fitz/ecl.e
https://iraf.net/pub/fitz/cl.cshCopy the first file to $iraf/bin.linux (or 'bin.redhat' depending on your system), and copy the second file to $iraf/unix/hlib/cl.cshThis will make the ECL the default when you run the 'cl' command. If you have problems or questions, post back.
