Hi all,How to add the minor ticks in the graphic window when using splot or specplot?I know this can be solved when using spectool but the problem is that the spectool seems not stable under ubuntu linux. I have tried before but the program always hang.Cheers,

As far as i know, there is now way to explicitly set the minor tick marks in either task. See the GTOOLS help page, the ":/xsize" or ":/ysize" commands might be of some help,Please post back if you want to followup on the spectool comment, it would help to know what pleatform you're using.

Dear Fitz,I still cannot make the minor ticks. The command you suggest change the plotting from wavelength to pixel.
Regarding to the spectool, I run iraf 2.14 under linux ubuntu 9.10. It always hang and gave an error message :
ERROR: floating point overflow
called as: `spectool ()'
I hope to use spectool in future if the hang problem can be solved.
