Could you please upload a sample file and any parameters you changed to the anonftp at ftp://iraf.noao.edu/pub and we'll try to reproduce the problem.

I did actually find a problem that might explain this, see https://iraf.net/article.php/20110331115014823Try installing the patched binary and let me know if you still have a problem.

FitzThank you for your help! I copied the x_onedspec.e to /iraf/iraf/noao/bin.linux64/it corrected the problem, but when I tried the task scombine, the problem persists. also, I copied the x_scombine.e from ftp://iraf.noao.edu/iraf/v215/support/ to the same directory, but I get the error:ERROR: segmentation violationI uploaded two files: 810810iue.fits and 811017iue.fits to ftp://iraf.noao.edu/pub/Thanks!

This appears to be a bug unrelated to the previous one and I've asked Frank to make the official fix. Until then, please try getting the updated x_scombine.e from ftp://iraf.noao.edu/iraf/v215/support/linux64 (or macintel, although I didn't see the probem on that system) and let me know if you still have problems.

Although the output is slight different now: Apr 5 10:48: SCOMBINE
combine = average, scale = none, zero = none, weight = none
blank = 0.
Images
810810iue.fits[ 1]
811017iue.fits[ 1] Output image = test, ncombine = 2
w1 = 1150.58, w2 = 3347.58, dw = 1., nw = 2198., dtype = 0
ERROR: segmentation violationAs you can see, still appears that segmentation violation.
Thanks.Raul

This looks like (another) unrelated problem, but I was only able to reproduce it using your data files. I've asked Frank to have a look, but since it is similar to something that was just fixed in IMCOMBINE recently it shouldn't take long to track down.

Sorry for the delayed reply. The problem appears to be fixed now and you should try the x_scombine.e binary again from the ftp://iraf.noao.edu/iraf/v215/support/linux64 directory. Please let us know if you still have problems.
