Hi guys,Hope everyone's well.I modeled some spectral peaks using the standard "d" button technique in splot. But I really want to know how well they fit. Is there a way to calculate say the regression coefficient (r) ?? I seem to remember there was a page that I could access that gave all the model parameters and I think r was included in that. Anyone know how to get there??Many Thanks Guys!

Hey,I have more or less the same question as sparkles:I use splot and make e.g. a gaussian fit of a spectral line in a spectrum of a star. IRAF saves the parameters like center, gfwhm etc in a .log document. where can I check the rms value of the fit? Thanks!!! milena

You can get the RMS value of the fit using the 'r' key after doing the deblended fit with the 'd' sequence (for single lines this still works, see the help page for details). Without a code change I don't think it's possible to get the errors on the individual fit coefficients.
