Hello !I am kinda new to IRAF but I found this bug in doslit which I cannot solve despite reading the entire help forum. For reference, I am running IRAF v2.15alpha on Fedora 12 running on the school network. I was simply following the tutorial on longslit extraction and it all works fine until I execute the 'doslit' command. The images were created with the 'demos mkdoslit'. In short, I get this error after I input the object name in doslit.ERROR: Attempt to access undefined local variable `image'.
"hselect (image, "ccdproc", yes) | scan (itype)"
line 133: doslit$sgetspec.cl (hidden task)
called as: `sgetspec (objects=demoobj1, arcs=, arctable=, standards=, obj=tmp$iraf1605a, arc=tmp$iraf1605b, std=tmp$iraf1605c)'
ERROR: No reference arcs
"resize, clean, splot, redo, update, quicklook, batch, listonly)"
line 54: doslit$doslit.cl
called as: `doslit ()'I am mostly concerned about the first error which looks like bad coding but this is not a personal script or anything modified (to my knowledge). It does not matter which object filename I put, I always get the same error. I tried all types of image extension, unlearning all parameters (even with new mkiraf), changing working/image directories, setting the parameters with epar or on prompt. I always get the same error as soon as I enter the object name. However, it seems to work if I do not use doslit but execute the sub-commands (such as apfind, apextract) individually. To me, it looks like a bug in the doslit routine but I have not found anything on the web about it, so could it be specific to my system/network/iraf. Since I am working on the school network, I cannot re-install anything unless there would be a very good reason to ask the administrator to do so.Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've been stuck on this problem for days and I've looked everywhere for an answer. Please help me.Thank You Very Much !!!
