I need to create a table from the command line.
From the >cl prompt, I can issue
tcreate table cdfile datafile, where table is the output file, and cdfile and datafine are input files, and everything works. However, I need to do this outside of iraf, using x_ttools.e.
How do I do that, since tcreate has three parameter files.Thanks.

Two things that might answer your question in general:https://iraf.net/faqman/index.php?op=view&t=117http://iraf.noao.edu/iraf/web/new_stuff/cl_host.htmlMore specifically, you can use "dpar tcreate" to dump the parameters for the task to a file (say, 'params') and then edit the values in the file. Execute the task then as e.g. [code:1:181b3e496a]% /iraf/extern/tables/bin.linux/x_ttools.e tcreate @params[/code:1:181b3e496a]The three query parameters can be specified on the command-line as well and you can use the '@params' trick to supply the hidden params.
