Hi, Fitz.I have been struggling to get IRAF 2.15 to work from a fresh install (just downloaded today). If I download the binary release, I get the [code:1:1717e27cbf]/iraf/iraf/bin.linux64/ecl.e: error while loading shared libraries: libtermcap.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory[/code:1:1717e27cbf]error. If I recall from v2.14 installations, this was a probably with the ecl not being statically linked. Shouldn't it be statically linked on 2.15?Jason

Actually it looks like Frank found the solution to this (and asked by me prior nonetheless... geez my memory is going)https://iraf.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=87023Creating a symbolic link seems to work.I envision that many will have this same issue. If indeed ncurses has made libtermcap obsolete, should it not be changed in the IRAF distribution somehow? For me the solution was:[code:1:596d84c5df]sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libncurses.so /usr/lib/libtermcap.so.2[/code:1:596d84c5df]Jason
