I downloaded an HIRES file from their archive. When I try to open it I get the following errors:

It's hard to tell whether you've extracted extensions from the image or not, however the header you posted is the primary header for an MEF file that doesn't actually contain any WCS information (and presumably no pixels to plot either). I suspect the 'dimension mismatch' error is a side-effect of the way error recovery is done and the original trigger is basically that you are trying to work on the PHU and not one of the extensions that actually contains data.Does an SPLOT on extension 1 work?
