Hello,I have been successfully using iraf to reduce some data, including msctvmark to overlay a catalogue on an image.Today when I attempt to use msctvmark I receive the following message:Warning: Cannot open file (tmp$iraf4133h)
ERROR on line 186: Cannot open file (tmp$4133i)
msctvmark ()I have looked at
http://iraf.noao.edu/faq/FAQsec09.html
tmp$ is defined as /tmp/
I also checked that I have permission to edit the tmp folder, and created .tmpiraf in that folder.
I have tried unlearning mscdisplay and msctvmark but the same message occurs (with numbers increaseing sequentiallly).If you are able to assist that would be much appreciated.Thanks,Sarah

The task is actually a script and there are three temp files created for different reasons, but the message isn't enough to distinguish which of those three files is the problem. Assuming all is well in terms of writing to the tmp directory, you might also see the message if e.g. the 'fields' param is incorrect for the input file since this is used to create one of the files.Two things to try: Do an "unlearn mscred" to reset all of the package parameters, and/or type "d_trace" before running the task to print out more information about what the script is doing before the message. If you don't understand the output of the latter then please just post it.

Thanks Fitz,It looks like perhaps an issue with mscctran, though I cannot scroll back further to see if there is a previous error (when running msctvmark without d_trace it returns errors with two temporary files).Is it possibly a formatting issue with my list of coordinates?
