Hello.I just installed iraf and pyraf onto my intel Mac running
SnowLeopard. I copied over my old login.cl file and tried running
ccdproc on some files. I'm using all of the parameters as shown in
Phil Massey's CCD reduction guide, but no new file is being written.
I found that I could run zerocombine and create a new file though. Do
you have any ideas as to why ccdproc might not be writing to a new file? Thanks for the help,
Lisa Winter

In general you cannot copy login.cl file between machines, it defines machine-specific paths such as the login directory ("home") and the uparm directory is defined relative to that. A new MKIRAF to recreate the login.cl will usually fix this and provide a working uparm directory. If by "new file" you mean the output from ccdproc and you are using IMH format images, then the problem is likely that the login.cl file is defining an invalid "imdir" for the pixel files (or, are you not seeing any output at all??)

Even with the login.cl file that was initially generated, I am not getting new files created when I run ccdproc. I'm not seeing any output at all (and no error message when I run the task).I set the imdir to be the current directory (".").Any ideas?

Quick guess: Either the 'noproc' param is set so it lists the steps rather than executing them, or more likely, the task isn't finding any images to process. See the help pages for CCDLIST and CCDTYPES for more on how the images are identified.
