HiI ran the imcentroid task on a sequence of about 300 fits frames and I now have the correct coordinates of the three sources I am interested in for each of these frames. (Due to tracking issues the sources sometimes jumped substantially from one frame to the next, which is why it is impossible to use one set of coordinates for a source.) What is the easiest way to pass these coordinates to the phot task? The only way I could think of is to create a .coo file for each frame, but I am hoping that there is an easier way which does not involve writing a script (something I have never done but intend to learn after finishing these reductions).I will greatly appreciate a quick fix, or confirmation that there is none.

What I understand is that you have all the coordinates in a single file, say the first 3 lines for the first image, the next three lines for the second image, and so on. I confirm my reading of the help page that if you want separate coordinates for each image then the coordinates have to be in separate file. So you have to break up the file and the possible ways are with your favorite editor, with some Unix script or whatever is you best scripting language, or with an IRAF script. An IRAF script is just one option but this is job of breaking up a file doesn't have to be done with IRAF.Good luck,
