I just installed iRAF on my G4 PPC, running 10.4.11. Everything seemed to install properly. I'm trying to change some of the parameters on apall, by using epar apall. When I try to save my inputs, I get the following error message:Unable to open parameter file 'uparm$aptapall.par'I can see that uparm was created by typing ls. What's happening? Thanx!Darryl

It's usually a permissions or a path problem, e.g. you typed 'mkiraf' as one user but are trying to login as a different user, or you copied the login.cl/uparm from another machine and the path to the uparm is incorrect (because it's relative to the 'home' which is the directory where you first typed 'mkiraf'). Chances are, typing 'mkiraf' again to recreate the login.cl/uparm directory will fix the problem, otherwise look into the above.-Mike

I just retyped mkiraf in my iRAF directory. I did an epar apall and an epar apextract. I did an lpar apall and lpar apextract just to see if my changes went through and they did. Retyping mkiraf did the trick. Thanx Mike!
