If I compile a program and get a error, sometimes no matter what I do, including commenting out the entire code, does not get the program to compile. Only a INTERNAL ERROR: parser gagged.

'Parser gagged' is a CL error message. Are you compiling something from a script or by 'compiling' do you mean you're simply running a script? What does the script look like (i.e. procedure script of command list)? Most often a parser gagged comes about because the script is missing an EOF or a newline on the last line, this happens sometimes when using emacs as the editor. See the thread at https://iraf.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=85989 for a way to prevent this from happening.-Mike
