Greetings -- I'm reducing NIR spectral data and there is a known issue that plotting a typical spectrum in IRAF will not show the actual counts (per second) value for a given pixel. In our case, we need to divide the value shown in IRAF by the product of the integration time and the number of coadds used for that spectrum. Is it possible to make this type of change to implot y-axis values?Thanks,Paul

IMPLOT is fairly simple, but other than something like IGI where you can plot and label as separate commands, I can't think of anything that won't automatically try to either label the plots depending on the value, or else force a plot window to user-specified coords that may not be correct for the data values.For what you describe, I'd recommend a small script task that scales the pixel values appropriately based on the header values and then calls the plot task, i.e. if you want to plot scaled values you'll need to scale the image.-Mike

You can do this with SPLOT using the arithmetic functions. That is, you display the spectrum, do the arithmetic, and after each operation the plot will be shown with the new values. It was not clear if you were asking for something that would automatically do this when you display a spectrum but there is nothing that you can preprogram to do this type of thing automatically, though a simple wrapper script could obviously do this.Yours,
