I would like to know how to extend the psf-models (gauss, lorentz, penny, etc.) by my own one. Is there any "plug-in" method (something like virtual method of object oriented programming) possible?

Sorry, but if you want to extend the models you'll need to modify the SPP code directly to provide the option. User-defjined functions are provided by some tasks, but not generally in the DAOPHOT tasks.-Mike
