Hello, i'm doing photometry with phot task in IRAF and i choose to do it in interactive mode. I done the epar phot and set up variables, like @list of images and this is my problem. I run ds9 and display the first image of my @list, execute phot task and the cursor starts to blink and when i press space-bar, i see the line recorded in my output file... when i'm done with that image i press q in ds9, and IRAF says n for next image... when prees n, the image filename in ds9 is still the first one i loaded and it is not incrementing... i was hoping that iraf load the next image in the ds9 display tool so i can go on with the star clicking and photometry recording untill the last one image in the listAny ideas what i'm doing wrong? Thanks for any help.Santiago Roland.-

The PHOT task does not display the image for you, but I agree it is confusing to then have an 'n' option for processing a list.To do what you want, I think you'll need to write a small script that displays each image in the list and then runs PHOT on a single image at a time (note you'll need to type 'q' twice in order to quit and move to the next image). The original author if the task is no longer here and I'm not familiar enough with it to know whether the 'n' is actually useful in some way.-Mike
