Hi All,We are trying to simulate observation when S/N is quite low something like 10. To do so, I was thinking of adding noise to the raw files we have obtained. These are echelle spectrum files. How do I add noise to these files such that after reduction, I get a noisy spectrum? Thanks for your helpRohit

See if the MKNOISE task in the ARTDATA package will do what you need.-Mike
