Hi all, I am new to IRAF, and I managed to install IRAF on FC6.However, I screwed it up and messed up the files (deleted some). Now I can't even login to IRAF with "cl".
I tried to run the uninstall script but it asked me to input the command directory, which I dunno where it is.So...I want to ask where should the command directory be? And how should I correctly uninstall IRAF? Also, can I reinstall without uninstalling?Anyway help is greatly appreciated..thanks

If all you did was delete some files in the system the you don't need to fully uninstall, you can just unpack the distribution files in the same place again. You DO need to rerun the install script if your $iraf is something other than /iraf/iraf since this path is edited into system files. Depending on the files deleted, sometimes rerunning the install script is enough. The usual 'bin directory' is /usr/local/bin but couldv'e been reset in the install script.-Mike
