I posted a couple weeks ago about fitting a 1D Gaussian to my data and then seeing how well that curve fits. Well, what I'm really looking for is the chi^2 of the fit, or a reduced chi^2.I can calculate this using the output from imexamine (when using the "k" key, it outputs a Gaussian with the center, amplitude, sigma, background and FWHM) and comparing that to my actual data. However, it would be a lot easier if IRAF has this somewhere.Does anyone know if IRAF has the ability to calculate chi^2/reduced chi^2?Thanks!
