Hello,I am having issues again with installation. This time it is with mscred, when I try to run the following command:
ms > msccmd "hselect $input $I,detsec yes" input=JregI get this error: ERROR on line 217: Cannot open connected subprocess (mscsrc$x_mscred.e)
msccmd (command=hselect $input $I,detsec yes, input=Jreg)
msccmd (command=hselect $input $I,detsec yes, input=Jreg)I believe there is something wrong with my installation. nicand

The message means the binaries for the package couldn't be found, either because they weren't installed, weren't installed in the right place (mscred$bin.redhat in your case), or if you built locally weren't moved to the bin directory. A common mistake when compiling from source is to not reset the package architecture before doing the build and so the binaries end up in the bin.generic directory which should be empty. Be sure to do a "mkpkg -p mscred redhat" as the first step, if the binaries are in bin.generic you can move them. Pre-built binaries are available from the downloads area, just unpack in the mscred$ directory.-Mike

Hi,I have checked my bin.generic directory and it is empty. The binaries where download in the mscred$bin.redhat directory, they are all in there. I tried the "mkpkg -p mscred redhat" and I get this error:Warning, hlib$mkpkg.inc line 5: macro `IRAFARCH' not found
hlib: Undefined variable.I downloaded the mscred-bin.redhat.tar.gz file and unpacked them in the mscred$bin.redhat directory. I am not sure what I should be doing. nicand

[quote:66202a62e0] downloaded the mscred-bin.redhat.tar.gz file and unpacked them in the mscred$bin.redhat directory. [/quote:66202a62e0]They should be unpacked in mscred$, not mscred$bin.redhat. What you probably have now is a 'bin.redhat' directory *in* your bin.redhat directory, just move the contents or unpack the file again.-Mike[/quote]
